STONE HARBOR – Officers responded to a noise complaint June 17 at 11:48 p.m. on the 100 block 100th Street. The complainant reported the noise was stemming from a large party with upwards of 120 underage individuals drinking alcoholic beverages. Upon arrival, officers observed a large group of individuals congregated in the street. When approached, the large group dispersed, running in all directions.

One subject, Owen Lee, 18, of Yeadon, Pa., attempted to run through Officer Anthony Tirelli in an effort to flee the scene. Officer Tirelli and Lee went to the ground where Officer Tirelli sustained minor injuries to his knee as he placed Lee under arrest. Officer Tirelli was treated at the station by Stone Harbor Rescue Squad. Lee was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest, each a crime of the third degree. Lee was also charged with obstructing the administration of law and underage possession of an alcoholic beverage, each a disorderly persons offense. Judge Dorthy Garrabrant approved a warrant with bail set at $20,000. Lee was subsequently lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
