RIO GRANDE — In less than 30 days from his last arrest, Middle Township police have charged Daniel Tyce, 28, of Rio Grande, with more alleged criminal activity.
On March 8, Middle Township Police department responded to a call from the Walgreens in Rio Grande for a male attempting to obtain a prescription by fraud. Patrolman Dan Geiger responded to Walgreens and arrested Tyce.
Tyce was transported to Police headquarters where he was charged with forgery a third-degree crime. Tyce was released on a summons.
On Feb. 19, police responded to the CVS pharmacy in the Acme shopping center in Court House for a report of a man dressed in female attire attempting to pass bad checks.
Patrolman Ronald Miller responded to the CVS and detained Tyce, who had warrants from several jurisdictions.
Tyce would be later charged with writing bad checks.
According to published reports, last year Tyce ran an illegal veterinary practice called South Jersey Small Animal Rescue and set up a phony rescue agency that cheated pet owners out of thousands of dollars. In the scheme, Tyce identified himself as Dr. Danielle Smith, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania veterinary school.

According to the state Department of Corrections, Tyce served over three years in prison on credit card theft. He was sentenced on Jan. 24, 2003 and released on March 8, 2006 from South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton.
