Two Stabbed, Two Nabbed

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division responded to the 5300 Block of Pacific Avenue located in the City of Wildwood Sunday, May 24 at approximately 1:30 a.m., in connection to a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival to the scene, it was ascertained that there were two separate victims. The first victim, a 24-year-old male who resides in Eagleville, Pa., had sustained two individual puncture wounds to his rear upper torso with an unidentified sharp edged weapon. The second victim, a 22-year-old male currently residing in King of Prussia, Pa. sustained a laceration to his head after being struck with a glass bottle. The first victim was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center Trauma Unit, by helicopter, while the second victim was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, by ambulance. While at the medical facilities, both victims were treated and eventually released subsequent to receiving the appropriate medical care.
During the follow-up investigation by members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, a court authorized search warrant was executed in the 5300 Block of Pacific Avenue located in the City of Wildwood, in connection to the investigation. During the developing investigation, Gabriel Jimenez-Morales, 27, living in the City of Wildwood, and Jose Castro-Custodio, 24, living in the City of Wildwood, were arrested in connection to the assaults. The following is a list of criminal charges filed against Jimenez-Morales and Castro-Custodio in connection to the investigation:
Jimenez-Morales was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault (a crime of the second degree), unlawful possession of a weapon (a crime of the third degree), and possession of a prohibited weapon (a crime of the fourth degree). Judge Dorothy Garrabrant of the Wildwood Municipal Court set bail on Jimenez-Morales at $90,000 cash/bond no ten percent all charges. Jimenez-Morales was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Castro-Custodio was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault (a crime of the second degree), aggravated assault (a crime of the third degree), and unlawful possession of a weapon (a crime of the third degree). Judge Dorothy Garrabrant set bail on Castro-Custodio at $90,000 cash/bond no ten percent all charges. Castro-Custodio was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
