COURT HOUSE – Millville residents Andre Gross and Norman Gray entered guilty pleas April 13 in Superior Court to charges of aggravated manslaughter and illegal disposal of a body in connection with the September 2011 slaying of Woodbine resident Khalil Wallace, a student at Rowan University.
The two were to begin a jury trial on the day they entered their pleas.
According to Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor, both face a sentence of 20 years on the aggravated manslaughter charge. They must serve 85 percent of their sentences prior to release, pursuant to the No Early Release law.
Additionally, three years will be added to their sentences for illegally disposing of a body. Thus, they will serve 23 years in state prison for Wallace’s slaying and burial.
Wallace, who graduated from Millville High School, was reported missing Sept. 20, 2011 after he was last seen outside of a Woodbine store.
His body was found three weeks later in a Cumberland County gravel pit.
