RIO GRANDE – Members of the Middle Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit were conducting surveillance in the Rio Grande area Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. They observed a drug transaction in the area of Linden and Route 9. Ronray Harris, 38, and Dana Gilroy, 24, both of Rio Grande were arrested. Thirty bags of heroin were seized.
They were both charged with possession of heroin, and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Harris was taken to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $60,000 cash bail. Gilroy was released on a summons.
