Two Cape May Residents Charged with Theft

CAPE MAY – Nedyalka L. Pancheva, 46, and Angel P. Angelov, 43, both of Cape May, were arrested by the Cape May Police Department Aug. 23 at 4:26 p.m. on charges related to a theft of property belonging to a New York woman.
Patrolman Anthony Genaro’s investigation recovered approximately $1,600 in stolen property and cash and resulted in criminal charges against Pancheva and Angelov for the theft.
Middle Township Police Department assisted in the Cape May investigation as well as conducting an investigation of their own related to an additional criminal offense within their jurisdiction.
Pancheva and Angelov were both charged in Cape May with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a third degree offense, and were placed in the Cape May County Correctional Center. Bail was set at $5,500 by the Cape May Municipal Court. They are scheduled to appear in Cape May Municipal Court Aug. 27 at 9 a.m.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
