Two Arrested in Middle for Drug Distribution, Gun Possession

WHITESBORO — Two Whitesboro residents were arrested Thursday, Jan. 15 by Middle Township police, charged with drug distribution and weapons offenses.
According to Middle Township Police, at about 9:10 p.m. at 19 E. Lena St. here, an investigation by the department’s Street Crimes Unit resulted in the arrest of Otearle Tunstall and Heather Loesch, both 33, of that address.
The investigation revealed that Tunstall and Loesch were allegedly responsible for distributing large amounts of marijuana within the community.
The search warrant was executed with the assistance of Middle Township Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Patrol Division.
They were assisted by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, the County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 Unit and Cape May County Regional SWAT Team.
Items recovered in the search warrant included a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun loaded with hollow point bullets, three ounces of marijuana packaged for distribution, 13 marijuana plants, miscellaneous scales and packaging equipment, and CDS paraphernalia. That included equipment for the growing of marijuana.
Tunstall and Loesch were charged with operating a CDS production facility, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, 13 plants, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, over one ounce, possession of firearm during CDS offense and endangering the welfare of children.
