WOODBINE– A state trooper on patrol Monday night charged Terrell Brown of Woodbine with numerous weapons offenses as well as resisting arrest, Detective Brian Polite said.
Brown was observed by state police in the area of Bryant Street acting disorderly while riding a bike. Polite said Brown was not complying with traffic laws and was stopped by state police.
Brown fled on foot when troopers attempted to take him into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Buena Vista Township.Troopers gave chase, and observed Brown throw a handgun which they recovered.
Additional troopers responded and Brown was apprehended a short distance latter.
Belleplain Emergency Corps was dispatched to the Woodbine station to give Brown first aid. Polite said Brown refused care and he was transported to the Cape May County Jail where he remains unable to post $100,000 bail.
