WILDWOOD – Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and Street Crimes Unit concluded a month-long covert narcotics investigation concerning the street level sales of narcotics from the 100 East block of Burk Avenue.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24, members of the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, with the assistance of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol and Bicycle Units, executed two individual court-authorized search warrants at a multi-family complex in the 100 East block of Burk Avenue. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, distribution quantities of heroin prepackaged for street level sales were seized, along with other narcotics-related paraphernalia.
During the developing investigation, the following individuals were identified as having connection to the illicit sales of narcotics from the aforementioned multi-family complex and charged with the appropriate criminal offenses:
Kevin Vega-Aguilar, 23, who resides in Wildwood, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, distribution of heroin within a school zone, distribution of heroin within 500 feet of certain public property, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Wildwood Municipal Court Judge Dorothy Garrabrant authorized a warrant for the indictable offenses and bail was set at $140,000 full cash, no ten percent. Vega-Aguilar was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Pedro Munoz-Lugo, 35, who resides in Wildwood, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, distribution of heroin within a school zone, distribution of heroin within 500 feet of certain public property, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Judge Garrabrant authorized a warrant for the indictable offenses and bail was set at $140,000 full cash, no ten percent. Munoz-Lugo was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Kenzy Valentin-Valentin, 21, who resides in Wildwood, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, distribution of heroin within a school zone, distribution of heroin within 500 feet of certain public property, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Judge Garrabrant authorized a warrant for the indictable offenses and bail was set at $90,000 full cash, no ten percent. Valentin-Valentin was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
