Three Charged For Assault at Wildwood Bar

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division responded to a local bar in the 400 block of Montgomery Ave. on a report of an assault June 25 at approximately 2:38 a.m.
Upon arrival to the scene it was ascertained that the victim identified as a 29-year-old male who resides in North Wildwood had been assaulted by Avery Stall, 27, who resides in Court House and Fred Crawley,30, who resides in Court House.
Further on scene investigation revealed that the victim was struck in the head, face and upper body area with a pool cue and a glass bottle. Accordingly, Stall, Crawley and a third individual identified as Kimberly Shelton, 34, who resides in Whitesboro, were taken into custody by members of the Wildwoocl Police Department in connection to the investigation. The victim was initially transported to Atlantic City Medical Center and then to Cooper Trauma Center for multiple head and facial trauma injuries. The victim is currently in critical but stable condition.
As a result of the follow-up investigation by the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and the Cape May County Prosecutors Office Major Crimes Unit, the following is a list of criminal charges filed against the defendants:
Stall was charged with aggravated assault, a crime of the second degree, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, a crime of the second degree, unlawful possession of a weapon, a crime of the third degree and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a crime of the fourth degree. Judge Dorothy Garrabrant of the Wildwood Municipal Court set bail on Stall at $82,000 cash/bond, no ten percent. Stall was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of posting bail.
Crawely was charged with aggravated assault, a crime of the second degree, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault,a crime of the second degree, unlawful possession of a weapon, a crime of the third degree, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a crime of the fourth degree. Judge Garrabrant set bail at $82,000 cash/bond, no ten percent. Crawley was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of posting bail.

The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
