Three Arrested on Drug Charges; 79 Bags of Heroin, 13 Bags of Marijuana Seized

COURT HOUSE- Three local residents of Cape May County were arrested during the execution of a search warrant in Wildwood.
The arrests are a result of a cooperative effort by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force and the Wildwood Police Department. The investigation concluded on Sept. 4 with a court authorized search warrant executed by the Cape May County Regional S.W.A.T Team in the 200 East block of Garfield Avenue in Wildwood. As a result of the investigation, 79 bags of heroin were seized along with 13 bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Luis Delgado-Betanco, 40, and Raul Berio¬Alverez, 55, of Wildwood, were charged with the following and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of $80,000 bail:
Possession of heroin, a third degree crime.
Possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, a third degree crime.
Possession of CDS, with intent to distribute heroin within 500 feet of a public place, a second degree crime.
Possession of marijuana, a disorderly persons offense.
Jessica Kuni, 23, of North Wildwood, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense and released on a summons complaint.
Prosecutor Taylor advises that persons convicted of a second degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison; persons convicted of a third degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 3 to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison.
