Three Arrested for Drugs, Alcohol, Weapon Possession

OCEAN CITY — Two juveniles and an 18-year-old were arrested by Ocean City Police on Sunday, Jan. 18 at Ninth Street and Bay Avenue, charged with various drug and weapon offenses.
According to police, on Jan. 18, a citizen reported seeing three males apparently allegedly forcing entry into a pickup truck in a parking lot at Ninth Street and West Avenue, and then driving away.
Patrolman David Rowland saw the truck at Nine Street and Bay Avenue. When he approached the vehicle, he requested identification from all occupants.
It was learned that a warrant was outstanding for one of the juveniles in the vehicle.
As all occupants left the vehicle, a knife fell onto the ground, police said.
After a further search, an additional knife was discovered along with a pair of brass knuckles, a package that contained suspected marijuana and a contained with unmarked prescription pills.
Also located in the vehicle was an open bottle of alcohol.
All three were placed under custody and taken to the police station.
The juvenile from Egg Harbor Township was charged with marijuana possession, possession of a weapon and possession of controlled dangerous substance. The other from Mays Landing, was charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of a weapon.
They were processed and released to the custody of a guardian.
Michael Formoso-Kosciewic, 18, of Mays Landing was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, underage alcohol possession and unlawful possession of a weapon.
After processing, Formoso-Kosciewic was released on a summons.
Assisting in the investigation was Patrolman Karl Ruf and Patrolman Bill Lick.
