AVALON – A Tennessee woman was arrested by Avalon police July 12 and charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and additional counts.
According to a release, Heather T. Reece, 42, of Tazewell, Tenn. was found by officers sleeping in a bed inside a residence.
She provided “numerous fake names and was found to be in possession of several stolen items,” the report stated.
Reece was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters.
During processing, Patrolman Hewitt determined some of the items were reportedly stolen from victims in Lower Township, Wildwood Crest and Stone Harbor. Police in those municipalities were notified.
Reece was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass, three counts of possession of stolen property and obstructing the administration of law.
Reece was transported to Cape May County Correctional Facility on a warrant.
