Teenager Charged After Vehicle Pursuit in Woodbine

WOODBINE– A 17 year-old male from Pennsauken, NJ was charged with eluding police and other motor vehicle charges following a pursuit on Saturday night.
State Police were traveling on Franklin Street when they observed a silver four door car traveling without headlights, Sgt. Sgt. Julian Castellanos said.
When the trooper turned around to initiate a car stop the vehicle turned North on Washington Street. The trooper continued on closing the distance between the two cars and turned on his emergency lights and siren. The unidentified juvenile accelerated and the trooper notified dispatch he was in pursuit, Castellanos said.
Several seconds later the juvenile lost control of the vehicle and was taken into custody, Castellanos said.
