Task Force Arrests Three for Dealing Drugs

WILDWOOD — County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Chief Steven Long, of the Wildwood Police Department, announced the conclusion of a two-month long narcotics investigation initiated by the Prosecutor’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
On Wed., Oct. 13, 2010, the county’s Regional SWAT Team, Prosecutor’s Office, Wildwood Police Department and County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, executed Court Authorized Search Warrants in the 400 West Block of Maple Avenue, and on the person of Edward H. Musse.
As a result of this investigation, the following persons were arrested:
Edward H. Musse, 41, Brandon Jones, 20, both of Maple Avenue, and Shannon Ginyard, 22, of Bay Avenue in Villas, were charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance in an amount over ½ ounce of cocaine, second-degree possession with intent to distribute over ½ ounce, second-degree possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property, and third-degree possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property.
Items seized as a result of the execution of the search warrants include over 3 ½ ounces of crack cocaine worth over $5,000; drug paraphernalia including a digital scale; and an amount of U.S. currency.
Taylor advised that persons convicted of second-degree crimes are subject to incarceration between five and 10 years in New Jersey State Prison and persons convicted of third-degree crimes are subject to incarceration between three and five years in prison.
Taylor and Long commended the cooperative efforts of all of the agencies involved in this investigation and stated the Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force will continue to target individuals involved in drug distribution in Cape May County along with the seizure of their assets.
