VILLAS – Lower Township Police department received a report of three suspicious subjects in the 100 block of Kentucky Ave. in the Villas section of Lower Township Aug. 20.
Upon the arrival, officers came in contact with three subjects, including Thomas J. Houston III, 31, who resides in the 100 block of Bark Drive in Ocean City.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned Houston was wanted on several outstanding criminal and traffic warrants from multiple courts throughout the state of NJ. Houston was placed under arrest and was found to be in possession of various amounts of controlled dangerous substances (CDS). He was also charged with hindering his own apprehension as a result of giving false information to law enforcement regarding his identity.
Houston was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in default of $15,000 cash bail issued by Judge Thomas Hillegass.
The two individuals who were in the company of Houston were checked out and released from the scene.
Investigating this incident were Patrolman Iames and Patrolman Greto from the Lower Township Police Department.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
