Suspicious Person Call Leads to Drug Arrest

VILLAS – Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of a suspicious person March 11 at approximately 1:53 a.m. 
Upon arriving to the area, Patrolman Boyle encountered a subject later identified as Andrew M. Cremin, 18, of Villas. 
While speaking with Cremin, Patrolman Boyle detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from him.  
Further investigation revealed Cremin was in possession of two mason jars filled with marijuana; along with other drug paraphernalia. 
Cremin was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was then taken to the Lower Township Police Department where he was charged on a criminal summons complaint and released with a pending court date. 
This investigation was conducted by Patrolman Boyle and Special Officer Walker of the Lower Township Police Department.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
