Suspect Sought In Grocery Store Armed Robbery

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division and Detective Division Nov. 23 at approximately 7:32 p.m., responded to 205 East Rio Grande Avenue (Maya Deli/Grocery Store) in connection to a reported armed robbery in progress. 

During the course of the robbery, the suspect displayed a black-colored semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the store cashier.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’8″ to 5’10”, with slender physical characteristics.

During the course of the robbery, the suspect wore a dark-colored mask disguising his facial features, a dark-colored high school varsity style waist length jacket, with dark-colored pants. The suspect wore dark-colored sneakers with white-colored shoelaces which were trimmed in white and is commonly associated with the brand name “VANS.”

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was last seen traveling northbound in the 4900 block Pacific Avenue, Wildwood.
