COURT HOUSE – Cape May County grand jury issued indictments June 2 in a high-profile drug bust in both Middle Township and Wildwood.
Isiah McNeal, 29, of Middle Township was charged with conspiring as an organizer in a scheme to distribute a form of methamphetamine known as Molly, and heroin. Both are Schedule I drugs.
The charge is a first-degree offense. McNeal, along with Latoya Walker, 27, of North Wildwood and Justine T. Williams, 27, of Maurice River Township, was also charged with conspiracy to distribute the drugs, a third-degree offense.
The charges stem from an investigation in 2013 conducted by the Major Crimes Unit of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office along with the Middle Township Police Detective Division.
A shooting incident in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Burleigh started the process that grew into subsequent investigation into McNeal’s alleged distribution of drugs and his involvement in the “Bloods” criminal organization.
McNeal, also known by the street name “Slugz,” was served with the new complaints while in the Cape May County Correctional Center awaiting trial on other charges related to the shooting incident.
Fernando L. Rodriquez, a lieutenant in the Court House Volunteer Fire Department, was indicted for official misconduct, a third degree offense. Rodriquez, who entered the department in 1993 and is listed on the department’s website as a lifelong member, was charged with knowingly obtaining gasoline March 10 from the Crest Haven Complex pumps for his personal use without the permission of the department.
The offense is considered “an unauthorized exercise of his official functions.”
Pamela J. Snyder of West Wildwood was charged with two counts of animal cruelty in the third degree and seven counts of animal cruelty in the fourth degree. The indictments allege that Snyder failed to provide necessary care for nine dogs during a period from October to November 2014.
Two of the dogs, Molly and Christmas, died and seven others suffered bodily injury. The seven other canines included Bogart, Junior, Thanksgiving, Priscilla, Penny, Penelope and an unnamed female.
Luis A. Delgado, 50, of Wildwood was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, third degree and with distribution within 500 feet of public property, second degree. He was also charged, along with Migsael Herrera-Dardiz, with conspiracy to distribute, second degree.
Delgado allegedly distributed heroin in an amount less than one ounce near the Wildwood Public Housing Authority. Herrera-Dardiz had been charged with heroin possession and distribution in 2013 prior to these current indictments.
The individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
