SEAVILLE— State Police are investigating an apparent arson that took place here on Laurel Ridge Road on Tuesday, June 9 around 12:54 a.m.
The Seaville Fire Department and Upper Township Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene for a reported car fire. When the fire department arrived on scene they reported the fire had been extinguished by someone with a garden hose. The fire department determined the fire to be intentional and notified state police who were also en-route.
State Police arrived on scene and reported the inside of the car had been set on fire and began searching for a vehicle that was believed to have fled on Peach Orchard Road.
The vehicle was later impounded for further investigation, according to reports.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation by troopers at the Woodbine station.
