RIO GRANDE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner announce the arrest of six individuals for the distribution of heroin Nov. 2.
This arrest was the conclusion of a cooperative investigation between the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the Middle Township Police Department.
On Nov. 2, a court authorized search warrant was executed at the residence of William B. Green, 51, located in the 3100 block of Shunpike Road in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township. Seized as a result of this investigation was an amount of raw heroin, equivalent to over 500 bags, with a street value of $5,000, along with pre-packaged heroin, crystal methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested as a result of this investigation were Green, Brandon P. Strausser, 23, of Court House, Jesse J. Daisey, 22, of Rio Grande, Allen B. Crouse Jr., 35, of Rio Grande, Robert Treon, 59, of Villas and Tammy Flynn, 49, of Rio Grande.
As a result, Green, Crouse Jr., Treon and Flynn were charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin and distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a public place. These individuals were processed and released on a summons complaint pending court proceedings.
Daisey and Strausser were charged with distribution of heroin and possession of heroin. Both were lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 full cash bail set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant.
Prosecutor Taylor stated that his office will continue to work hand in hand with the local municipalities to target anyone selling illegal controlled dangerous substances. The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
