Several Young Adults Damage Six Properties in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY – On May 23 at 1:03 a.m., the Ocean City Police responded to a report of several young adults damaging property in the area of 2500 to 2800 blocks of Asbury and West Avenues.
Upon arriving at the scene Ptl. Robert Koob was able to locate three suspects fleeing the area.
Ptl. Koob attempted to stop the suspects but they were able to enter a property in the 2500 block of West Avenue.
Ptl. Matt Schaffer attempted to make contact with the suspects inside the residence by yelling through an opened window. One of the suspects then closed the window on the hands of the officer. The Officers then were able to gain entry into the residence and locate all three suspects that were seen fleeing by Ptl. Koob.
The investigation revealed that the suspects had damaged property at six different locations between 25th Street and 29th Street. All three suspects were charged and released on summonses. The investigation was conducted by Ptl. Bob Koob, Ptl. Jeff Doto and Ptl. Matt Schaffer.
ARRESTED: 1) Frederick J. Ritter, age 21, Marlton, NJ
2) Jeffrey P. Longley, age 21, Browns Mill, NJ
3) Mark F. Singer, age 20, Cinnaminson, NJ
CHARGES: 1) Resisting Arrest 2C:29-2A
2) Criminal Mischief 2C:17-3
3) Disorderly Conduct 2C:33-2
