Second DWI Crash in Week, Driver Faces Charges

This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
ERMA – During the evening of Nov. 6, Lower Township Police Department received a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash in the area of the 700 block of Tabernacle Road, according to a release.
Officers found a vehicle operated by Jason Poole, 39, of North Cape May, had run off of the road and struck a utility pole.
That investigation led to Poole’s arrest.
Poole was issued three motor vehicle summonses: driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, and reckless driving.
At the conclusion of the investigation and subsequent processing, Poole was released in accordance with departmental procedures and N.J. Attorney General Guidelines.
Poole was previously charged Oct. 31 with driving while intoxicated. That incident took place in North Cape May.
The former matter is pending court. The latter incident is under investigation by Patrolman Jennifer Anzelone.
Assisting agencies were the Erma Volunteer Fire Department and Lower Township Rescue Squad.
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
