SEA ISLE CITY — Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Thomas McQuillen of the Sea Isle City Police Department have announced the arrest of Douglas J. Petock, 39, Dec. 11, on first-degree aggravated sexual assault charges.
According to a release, on Dec. 7, the Sea Isle City Police Department received information from the Pennsylvania State Police regarding an ongoing investigation involving Douglas Petock, a resident of 28th Street, Sea Isle City.
An investigation was initiated by detectives from the Sea Isle City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
The investigation revealed Petock allegedly sexually assaulted a female victim over the period of two years in 2017 and 2018.
On Dec. 11, Petock was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual contact, and one count of stalking.
At the time Petock was charged he was being lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center on other charges.
On Dec. 11, Petock was processed for the above listed charges and was returned to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
