Robert Gauntt Sentenced

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announces the sentencing of Robert Gauntt, 28, of Cape May Court House for aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.
In Aug. of 2010, the Middle Township Police Department investigated an aggravated assault which had occurred in the Township’s Court House section. As a result of this investigation, Gauntt was charged with aggravated assault, burglary, two counts of terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. On Aug. 16, 2013, Robert Gauntt was sentenced by the Honorable Patricia M. Wild, JSC to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison with the No Early Release Act (NERA) and 3 years of mandatory parole.
Prosecutor Taylor recognizes the efforts of the agencies involved which resulted in the successful conclusion of this investigation.
