COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor, Cape May City Police Chief Robert Sheehan, Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriani and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner report that they have received several complaints of lewdness. As of this date, there have been five incidents involving this type of crime, two in Middle Township, two in Cape May and one in Lower Township.
A subsequent investigation by the Major Crimes Unit of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Detectives from the Cape May City Police Department, Lower Township Police Department and the Middle Township Police Department ensued and is still active. It was learned that the subject drives to various locations, gets out of his vehicle with his pants down and begins to masturbate. The investigation has revealed that the actor is described as a white male with dark sunglasses, short hair, stocky build, operating a dark colored minivan or truck. An additional description is that of a white male, dark sunglasses, close cropped sandy brown hair, stocky build, operating a dark colored SUV wearing athletic type shorts. Law enforcement is asking the public to be vigilant and to contact their local police department by dialing 911 with any information regarding similar incidents.
