DEL HAVEN — Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner have announced additional charges have been issued against 71-year-old Frederick Gene Marr regarding the Aug. 11 shooting death of Del Haven resident Ronald Denny Sr.
Marr was charged with murder and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. Bail was set at $1 million.
Marr remains in the custody of the Volusia County, Fla. Department of Corrections pending extradition to New Jersey.
Taylor said that following Wednesday’s shooting, investigation by law enforcement agencies in both states has led to substantial additional evidence that Marr fatally shot Denny in the driveway of his Del Haven home.
