Prosecutor Announces 20 Cocaine Arrests

COURT HOUSE — According to release from the county Prosecutor’s Office, police arrested 20 additional individuals on Wed., Sept. 1 resulting from recently concluded five-month narcotics trafficking investigation.
The investigation centered around the large scale cocaine distribution scheme being orchestrated by David Roberson, 52, of Wildwood.
On Aug. 19, law enforcement officers from various jurisdictions executed search warrants at three locations within Wildwood that resulted in the seizure of approximately three ounces of cocaine, over $13,000 in cash, five vehicles and other proceeds from the drug distribution enterprise.
According to Prosecutor Robert Taylor, the Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force has identified approximately 50 persons with whom Roberson supplied cocaine.
Recent arrestees are identified as persons who purchased cocaine from Roberson or were involved in his drug distribution network. They were identified as:
• Michael Gibbs, 29, of the 400 block of West Baker Avenue, Wildwood
• Claude Gibbs, 59, of the 1400 block of US Highway 9, Swainton
• Nelson McAllister, 43, of the 100 block of East Buttercup Road, Wildwood Crest
• Keith Bradshaw, 42, of the 5200 block of Shawcrest Road, Lower Township
• Ralph Cerasi, 44, of the 100 East block of Forget-Me-Knot Road, Wildwood Crest
• Christopher Speigel, 44, of the 100 block of West Glenwood Avenue, Wildwood
• Jesse Roark, 47, of the 100 block of Coconut Road in Swainton
• Theresa Robey, 41, of the 300 block of West 16th Street, North Wildwood
• Samuel Vann, 48, of the 100 block of East Spencer Avenue, Wildwood
• Michael King, 45, of the 1200 block of Central Avenue, North Wildwood
• Robert McShaffry, 33, of the 5200 block of Lake Drive, Wildwood
• Duane Sheeks, 46, of the 400 block of West Roberts Avenue, Wildwood
• Stanley Hatch, 60, of the 100 block of West Roberts Avenue, Wildwood
• Brian Chambers, 50, of the 100 block of Paper Mill Road, Eldora
• Aba Walkowitz, 40, of the 100 block of Gold Beaton Alley, West Cape May
• Danielle Deane, 31, of the 600 block of Pacific Avenue, North Cape May
• Michael Markee, 34, of the 200 block of West Pine Avenue, Wildwood
• Brenda Giordano, 34, of the 300 block of East 26th Street, North Wildwood
• Michael Donahue, 50, of the unit block of Siskin Lane, Cape May Court Rouse
• William Shafer, 35, of the 400 block of West Burk Avenue, Wildwood
The above listed subjects were charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute a controlled dangerous substance, both crimes of the third degree. Bail was set by Judge Raymond Batten at $15,000.
Claude Gibbs was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, crimes of the third degree, and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public place, a crime of the second degree.
Michael Gibbs was also charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance in an amount over a half ounce, a crime of the second degree.
Prosecutor Taylor advises that persons convicted of second-degree crimes are subject to five to ten years in New Jersey State Prison and persons convicted of third-degree crimes are subject to three to five years.
According to Taylor, the case remains under investigation and additional arrests are pending. Taylor credited the cooperative efforts of the Wildwood, North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, Cape May, Middle Township, Lower Township police departments, the County Sheriffs Department and the County Regional SWAT Team for the successful conclusion.
