GOSHEN – Middle Township Police Department was dispatched to Hideaway Beach Condominium in Goshen for a report of an attempted sexual assault July 20 at approximately 11:00 p.m.
A 49-year-old female was assaulted on the beach at the end of Cooks Beach Road. The victim was grabbed by an unknown male subject. The subject ripped the victim’s shirt and attempted to remove her shorts. The victim was able to get free and run to the safety of her vehicle.
The Middle Township Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating three possible witnesses. The witnesses may have been in the area that night and may have seen or heard the attack. The three witnesses are described as being white males in their early twenties. They were working on a small boat that was on a trailer and attached to a pickup truck or SUV type vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male, slender, 5’8″ to 5’10”, with shoulder length curly or wavy hair.
