RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department responded to the Shelton Hotel in Rio Grande for a report of a robbery May 1 at 9:30 p.m. A resident at the hotel reported to responding officers that two black males knocked on the door. When the resident opened the door, a physical altercation took place. The two suspects demanded money. The two suspects made off with just under $1,000.
The two suspects were dressed in all black with black hoodies. They covered their faces with a black and blue bandana, and had black backpacks. They were approximately 5’7, 160 lbs., and approximately 20 to 30 years of age.
