Police Seek Stolen Big Rig

Lower Township Police Department is looking for this large tractor-trailer-type truck that was taken from a Shunpike Road trucking business Friday night

ERMA – Lower Township Police Department is looking for a large tractor-trailer-type truck that was taken from a Shunpike Road trucking business Friday night, May 5.
Between the hours of 8:30 p.m. May 5 and 8 a.m. May 6, the truck was stolen from the rear of a property, located in the 600 block Shunpike Road, Erma. 
The truck is a bright green 2004 Peterbilt model 379, bearing New Jersey registration AJ697Z. In addition, a USDOT #1457350 is displayed on the side of the vehicle. The theft was reported to police May 8 at approximately 2 p.m.
The very distinct, bright green tractor cab of the truck was attached to a trailer prior to the theft, but the trailer was disconnected and left at the scene and only the tractor cab was driven off the lot.
