By

UPPER TOWNSHIP – New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man who allegedly broke into a car in Upper Township and stole various items, including the victim’s driver’s license, birth certificate and social security card.
Sometime between the evening of March 11 and early morning March 12, the suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle by shattering a window, according to a post on New Jersey State Police’s Facebook page. He was able to steal the victim’s driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card, and multiple power tools.

Through various investigative means, detectives were able to determine that the suspect was at Sunoco Gas Stations in Wall, South Amboy, Woodbridge, and Secaucus. He may be driving a newer model Ford pickup truck or a Porsche SUV. The attached pictures are surveillance stills taken from multiple locations.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Ramon Ortiz at Woodbine Station at 609-861-5698. Anonymous tips are welcome.
