RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department is investigating a home invasion, which occurred April 1 at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Hirst Avenue in Rio Grande.
The pictured vehicle was used by the assailants during the commission of the incident. One subject stayed in the vehicle, while two other subjects exited the vehicle and approached the residence.
According to the victim, there was a knock on his door and when he opened it a Hispanic male subject, who was approximately 5’6″, and wearing a partial mask, brandished a black hand gun and demanded money. The other subject, only described as a male, stayed on the corner of the property and worked as a look out.
The victim defended himself and attempted to fight off the Hispanic male. When he did so the subject fled on foot and both assailants re-entered the vehicle located at the US Gas on Route 47 and fled the scene.
