Police Search for VFW Burglars

VILLAS — Lower Township police looking for help from the public in solving a burglary at the Villas VFW.
The burglary from the VFW Post on Bayshore Road included the theft from various lock boxes, safe and lottery machine. It occurred in the early morning hours of May 6 between 3 and 6:30 a.m.
The theft occurred after the perpetrator gained entry by prying open the front door with an unknown object.
After entering the club the suspect or suspects made additional entries into a locked office and removed cash from lock boxes and a safe. It appears that the subject is familiar with the layout and location of items of value inside the building. Items of evidentiary value where collected at the scene for comparison with future suspects.
