STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Police were dispatched to the 300 Block of 84th Street after a 911 call was received about a fight in progress on a balcony of a residence July 29.
Upon officer arrival, Ervin Collazo Jr., 19, of Langhorne, PA, fled from the police by running between houses and jumping over a bulkhead into the bay. CoIlazo was arrested a short time later when he exited the bay. Officers determined that the fight had occurred between Collazo and a 17-year-old male over a 15-year-old female. Officers learned that the female fled the area upon police arrival. Three additional adults, under the age of 21, and three more juveniles were located within the residence. Not having permission to be at the property from the homeowner, the juvenile’s parents were notified and the juveniles were released from the scene to their parents and guardians.
The 15-year-old female returned to the residence and was taken into protective custody. She was transported to the Stone Harbor Police Department and later released to her parent.
Collazo was transported to the Stone Harbor Police Department where he was processed and charged with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. Collazo is scheduled to appear in Stone Harbor Municipal Court in reference to these charges.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
