Police Recover Stolen Bicycles, Charge Two

STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Police Department was notified that a subject, who had his bicycle stolen from outside of his residence July 20, saw his bike locked at 86th Street and the beach Aug. 16 at 2:24 p.m.
Responding officers verified that the bicycle, a maroon Huffy valued at $75, was the one reported stolen and belonged to the reporting party. Officers further observed that the maroon Huffy was locked to another teal colored Fuji bicycle. Officers then discovered that the second bicycle had been reported stolen from outside of a business on the 8300 block of Third Avenue July 28 and was valued at $400.
The Stone Harbor Police Department Detective Division was notified and responded to the scene.
The bicycles were kept under surveillance until 5:05 p.m. when two individuals exited the 86th Street beach. The male was observed unlocking the bicycles as Detective Sgt. Walker and SLED II Horton approached the individuals. Donna Daniels, 52, of Glen Mills, PA, and Marc Seidman, 54, of West Chester, PA, were subsequently placed under arrest for receiving stolen property.
Both subjects were transported to the Stone Harbor Police Department where they were processed and released on summonses.
Both Daniels and Seidman were charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth degree crime, and one count of receiving stolen property, a disorderly persons offense.
This matter is pending review by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
