This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police arrested two fugitives from justice from Pennsylvania in separate incidents over the weekend, June 3-4.
According to a release, officers were dispatched to a motel on the 2200 block Atlantic Avenue for a report of a disorderly person June 3 at approximately 12:41 a.m. in the first incident.
Upon arrival, Officers Eric Nevil and Bryan Skill were able to locate a suspect who provided a false name to them. Further investigation revealed the suspect, Scott Schultz, 37, of Philadelphia, was wanted on a drug-related charge from Philadelphia.
Schultz was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and hindering apprehension.
He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center, awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
In the second incident, officers were dispatched to a motel on the 500 East block 18th Avenue for a report of a physical altercation June 4 at approximately 7:52 p.m.
Upon arrival, Officers Daniel Hartman, Joseph Kopetsky and Matthew Quinlan located the parties involved and spoke to a suspect who provided a false name to them. Further investigation revealed the suspect, Marina Desantis, 50, of Temple, Pa., was wanted on a drug-related charge from Berks County, Pa.
Desantis was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and hindering apprehension.
She was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center, awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
