On Nov. 28, Damon Hendricks, 38, of Whitesboro, was stopped on US 9 in Edgewood by Patrolman Ron Miller. Hendricks assaulted Patrolman Miller and attempted to flee the stop on foot. Hendricks was placed under arrest by Patrolman Miller and Patrolman Joe Gamble. Over a half ounce of cocaine was seized from Hendricks. He was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center on $60,000 bail.
On Dec. 8, the Middle Township Major Crime unit, with the assistance of the Cape May County SWAT, executed a narcotics search warrant at a hotel in the 1800 block of Route 47 in Rio Grande. Herbert Dolson, 51, of the hotel, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin. He was released on a summons due to his health condition.
