SEA ISLE CITY – Officers from the Sea Isle City Police Department responded to a residence on the 300 block 47th Place July 21 at 3:14 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery.
Once on scene, it was learned that the suspects (described as one black female and two masked males believed to be black males based upon the victim’s description) had produced a handgun and bound the victim to a chair in the garage. While the victim was tied up, the trio ransacked the home. Upon entering the upstairs bedroom, the suspects were confronted by the father of the victim and fled the area via an unknown vehicle.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office along with the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit assisted with this ongoing investigation.
