Police Charge Two Suspected of Stealing Tools from North Wildwood Residence

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Department Detective Division concluded a three month investigation in relation to a burglary of a residence that was under construction on the 200 block of E. 1st Avenue that occurred on Aug. 14. Over the course of the investigation, it was learned that Brett Delaney and Raymond Mathews-Baylock stole tools from the residence.
Delaney, 39, residing in North Wildwood, was charged with burglary, theft and fencing. Delaney was already lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on other charges. Mathews-Baylock, 18, residing in Court House, was arrested and charged with burglary and theft. Judge Birchmeier authorized a warrant for Mathews-Baylock and he was released on his own recognizance.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
