Police Charge Store Employee with Credit Card Fraud

STONE HARBOR — On Fri., July 9, a victim reported to police an unauthorized use of her credit card.
It was later learned that multiple purchases from stores in Stone Harbor and Court House were charged to the victim’s credit card in excess of $1900.
Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Victoria Dougherty, 28, an employee of a local business where the victim had previously used her credit card.
Judge John Fowler authorized an arrest warrant setting bail at $5,000. Dougherty was charged with credit card fraud, forgery and theft. She was released on bail pending an August court date.
The case is pending review by the county Prosecutor’s Office.
