Police Charge Man In Girl’s Sex Assault

WILDWOOD — Police here have arrested a man for a sex crime on a child.
According to Detective Lt. Terry Oslar, Juan Juarez, 40, of the 100 block of East Rio Grande Avenue, was arrested at his residence on Nov. 8 at 2:50 p.m. Police said the incident took place earlier that day at the same location.
Juarez was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a female under the age of 13, and with second degree endangering the welfare of a minor. He was lodged in county jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail set by Superior Court Judge Susan Maven.
According to police, Juarez also had a detainer placed against him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, due to the question of the legality of his immigration status.
