Police Charge Dias Creek Man with Sex Assault

DIAS CREEK — On Sunday, March 15, Middle Township police charged a local man with sexual assault.
Police received a 911 call about midnight from a 43-year-old woman who said she was sexually assaulted in the Dias Creek section of the township, according to police reports.
Police charged Michael Massaro, 49, of Dias Creek, with first-degree aggravated assault and third-degree criminal restraint.
The victim was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for unspecified injuries, police said. Massaro was transported to the county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail set by Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Sandson, police said.
