By Press Release

VILLAS – The Lower Township Police Department received a report Feb. 9 at approximately 7:15 a.m. of two subjects stealing an outside air conditioner unit from the 100 block of Caroline Avenue in the Villas section of the township.
The witness described the two males leaving in a blue Ford Ranger pick-up with a house air conditioner unit in the bed of the truck.
Patrolman Eric Coombs, Anthony Micciche and Matt Gamble responded. A canvas of the area located the suspect’s vehicle nearby on the 100 block of E. Weber Avenue. The officers and detectives on scene verified through their investigation the identities of the suspects and recovered the stolen air conditioning unit at the residence where they found the suspect’s vehicle.
David T. Flick Sr., 48, and David T. Flick Jr., 22, were both arrested and the vehicle was impounded.
Both subjects were charged on warrants for third degree theft and third degree criminal mischief as well as summons for criminal trespassing. Municipal Court Judge Hillegass authorized the warrants setting bail at $20,000 each. Both subjects were lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
