STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Police Department responded to the 300 block of 100th Street for a reported theft from a single family residence Oct. 25.
The victim reported several pieces of jewelry valued at $1,800 were taken.
The Stone Harbor Detective Division responded and processed the scene.
Further follow up investigation determined the victim was missing additional jewelry valued at approximately $3,000.
On Nov. 7, the victim contacted the Stone Harbor Police Department and reported an additional theft had occurred where jewelry and cash valued at approximately $8,500 was now missing. The Stone Harbor Detective Division returned to the home and processed the scene for evidence.
Subsequent investigation resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant on Nov. 14 by Stone Harbor Municipal Court Judge John Fowler, Jr., charging Daniel R. Lloyd, Jr., 47, of Court House, with burglary and theft. Bail for the charges was set at $10,000, no 10 percent. Lloyd Jr. was processed and released after posting bail.
This matter is pending review by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
