CAPE MAY POINT – Joseph V. Hogg, 27, of North Cape May, was arrested by the Cape May Police Department Sept. 3 at 3:46 p.m. on charges related to a theft of property from a Cape May Point rental property/residence.
Detective D. Henderson, Detective J. Walker and Patrolman D. Murphy’s investigation began at 4:44 p.m. Aug. 31 when the victim, staying in a rental house on Stites Ave. in Cape May Point, noticed her jewelry, approx. $1,100, missing after a cleaning service company departed from the rental house.
The investigation led officers to a Cape May County pawn shop Sept. 3 where officers recovered all of the reported stolen jewelry and developed information leading to criminal charges being filed against Hogg.
Hogg was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a third degree offense, conspiracy, a third degree offense, and hindering the apprehension or prosecution of another, a fourth degree offense. He was released on a complaint summons and was scheduled to appear in Cape May Municipal Court Sept. 10 at 9 a.m.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
