WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division conducted an investigation concerning a reported domestic assault involving a firearm Aug. 16 at approximately 2:21 a.m.
During the incident, the victim reported that he was confronted by his ex-girlfriend who was armed with a shotgun. Upon police arrival, the victim identified the defendant as Shakeila Fitzpatrick and she had departed the area prior to police arrival.
On Sunday, Aug. 17 at approximately 1:30 a.m. a motor vehicle matching the description provided in the previous armed domestic incident was observed in the 3900 block of Atlantic Avenue located in Wildwood. Accordingly, a high risk motor vehicle stop was effected, at which time Fitzpatrick and Bryan Williams were detained in connection to the investigation.
During the developing follow-up investigation a consensual search of Fitzpatrick’s motor vehicle was obtained. During the search of the interior of the motor vehicle distribution quantities of heroin were seized. The heroin was prepackaged in individual light blue colored wax paper folds for street level sales/distribution. A total of 322 bags/folds were recovered inside the vehicle with a street level resale value of approximately $3,000.
Additionally seized in connection to the investigation was $775 which was identified as proceeds of the illicit level sales of narcotics. As a result of the investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged with the appropriate criminal offenses concerning the illicit sales of narcotics:
Williams, 24, employed construction laborer residing in Court House was charged with possession of heroin (crime of the third degree), possession of heroin with the intent to distribute (crime of the third degree) and financial facilitation (crime of the third degree).
Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $60,000 cash/bond no ten percent all charges. Williams was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
