WILDWOOD– On July 5th 2010, at approximately 5:50 A.M., members of the Wildwood. Police Department Uniform Patrol Division, responded to a report of a sexual assault in the 300 block of East Burk Avenue. At the scene of the incident it was ascertained that the victim of the sexual assault was a juvenile, who is under the age of eighteen.
Further investigation into this matter by members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and Uniformed Patrol Division resulted in the arrest of Calvin Callaway (AKA: Calvin Watson).
Callaway is a 23 year old telemarketer who resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Callaway was charged with first degree aggravated sexual assault. Callaway was also found to be a fugitive from justice from the state of Pennsylvania.
Judge Kane set the bail for Callaway at $1,000,000.00 cash or bond, no ten percent on the fugitive from justice offense.
As of the time of this press release, the bail for the sexual assault offense had not yet been set. Callaway could not post $1,000,000,00 bail, and be was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
