NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Police Officer Jason Felsing was dispatched to the intersection of Townbank and Bayshore roads in North Cape May Nov. 28 at approximately 4:20 p.m. to investigate a two-car motor vehicle collision.
During the investigation, a passenger in one of the vehicles, Ashley Brownstein, 31, who resides in Cape May was found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS).
Brownstein was arrested and charged with being in possession of Xanax, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms. She was transported to Lower Township Police Department where she was processed and released on a criminal summons compliant.
As a result of the motor vehicle accident, one person was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
