This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police were dispatched to the area of 26th and Atlantic avenues for a report of a robbery June 3 at approximately 4:11 a.m.
Upon arrival, the victim gave police a description of the accused and stated that he was assaulted and property was taken from his person. Officers from the Wildwood Police Department arrived on scene and assisted North Wildwood Police in the investigation.
Officers searched the area and two suspects matching the description were located at a Pine Avenue convenience store in Wildwood a short time later. Further investigation revealed the two suspects located at the convenience store committed the robbery. It was also determined the robbery took place at 24th and Surf avenues.
The first suspect, Robert Deeley, 20, residing in Manchester, N.J., was arrested and charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. Deeley was transported to Cape May County Correctional Center on a warrant for these charges.
The second suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile, also residing in Manchester, N.J., was arrested and charged with robbery, conspiracy, and aggravated assault. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile detention facility as a result of these charges.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
